For more than 20 years, Galen Lif, AIA, LEED AP, has led the planning and design of complex science and technology environments. He specializes in multidisciplinary research and teaching laboratories for higher education institutions and private-sector clients, bringing deep expertise in the planning, performance, and long-term adaptability of these highly specialized spaces. His leadership in laboratory design has made him a frequent speaker at the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories Conference and the Laboratory Design Conference. A dedicated advocate for the profession, Galen is a longtime AIA member and mentor who served as president of AIA Missouri in 2015 and AIA Kansas City in 2018.
