We are honored to share that the Deck of SpacesTM has been recognized with four international design awards: Metropolis Magazine’s Planet Positive Award, the A4LE Kelly Tanner Innovation Award, the CORE77 Product Design Award, and an award from San Francisco Design Week.
In October 2020, a study on belonging was performed by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP); findings demonstrated that between 17% – 29% of high school and 14% – 27% of middle-school students did not feel a sense of belonging in their schools or classrooms. We believe that this number is too high. To this end, we created the Deck of SpacesTM — a conversation starter and a brainstorming tool that allows educators and designers to introduce novel spatial concepts to audiences — young and old, to create equitable learning environments that foster community and belonging.
