Sally Wurtzler, AIA, LEED AP, WELL AP, is a Senior Project Architect with more than 20 years of experience as a designer, sustainability advocate, and leader. She is dedicated to creating environments that foster learning, support well-being, and strengthen the resilience of the communities they serve. Sally’s work explores how thoughtful design strategies—including access to daylight, fresh air, thermal comfort, and connections to nature—can shape everyday experiences and promote healthier, more sustainable ways of living.

Sally contributed to the development of the education team’s Deck of Spaces™, a collaborative tool that helps clients and design teams envision more inclusive, engaging learning environments. As chair of the Kansas City studio’s Sustainability Committee, she leads efforts to advance sustainable design practices and establish standards that inform projects across sectors.
