Graham Smith, AICP, leads Multistudio’s City Design sector, guiding communities and clients through complex planning and urban design challenges. For more than 25 years, he has led transformative urban design initiatives across the country, bringing together public and private partners to create cohesive, implementable visions for the future.
Graham approaches planning at the urban scale, recognizing the essential relationship between public space, private development, and the communities they serve. Through community, area, neighborhood, corridor, and special project plans, he helps clients translate ambitious goals into actionable strategies that strengthen neighborhoods and create lasting places. His work focuses on thoughtful infill and redevelopment, revitalizing existing communities while honoring their unique character and potential.
Grounded in a deep understanding of zoning, regulations, and public policy, Graham brings the technical expertise needed to guide projects of all scales, budgets, and complexities. Above all, he believes successful planning begins with listening.
