Biography

Chris Brewster is a Senior Planner and attorney with more than three decades of experience at the intersection of city planning, urban design, and law. He works with communities and municipalities to translate planning goals into effective policies, development regulations, and implementation strategies that shape the future of places.

With a deep understanding of both regulatory frameworks and design principles, Chris helps communities create codes that support sustainable, walkable neighborhoods and vibrant urban environments. His expertise lies in bridging the gap between vision and execution—crafting practical, implementable solutions that reflect each community’s unique goals and character.

Throughout his career, Chris has led more than 50 development regulation projects, ranging from targeted amendments to comprehensive code rewrites. His work empowers communities to navigate complex planning challenges while creating regulatory frameworks that encourage thoughtful growth and long-term success.
