Chorus: A New Civic Landmark in San Francisco’s Market Street Hub

Chorus brings new life to San Francisco’s Market Street Hub, transforming a once-transitory area into an active civic destination. Designed by Multistudio in collaboration with Parisa O’Connell Interior Design, Fletcher Studio Landscape Architecture, Align Real Estate, and Turner Construction, the project integrates 416 housing units, a 224-seat theater, and a home for the City Ballet School into a dynamic urban experience.

Anchored by a sculptural new public plaza — an artistic collaboration between Frida Escobedo and Fletcher Studio — the development blurs the lines between public and private space, inviting street-level engagement and participation. Curved concrete walls, a shallow reflecting pool, and carefully framed pathways create a place of discovery and calm within the city's vibrant fabric.

The design draws from the horizontality of San Francisco’s urban grid and the vertical aspirations of its community, while the branding by OMFGCO symbolizes the energy and convergence of surrounding neighborhoods. Through an interplay of architecture, landscape, and culture, Chorus redefines The Hub as a place where culture, community, and city life meet.
