Multistudio is honored to receive five awards for design excellence at the 2025 AIA Kansas Design Excellence Awards. This year’s recognitions highlight the diversity of our work across educational and institutional environments, as well as our commitment to creating spaces that inspire, support, and strengthen communities.

Washburn Rural North Middle School received an Architectural Project Honor Award in the Urban category. The jury recognized the school’s ability to create a dynamic and flexible learning environment that fosters connection and engagement.

Lee’s Summit High School Addition & Renovation received an Architectural Project Honor Award in the Urban category. The project was celebrated for its thoughtful transformation of existing spaces while honoring the school’s legacy and community presence.

Robotics Facility at Lee’s Summit North High School received an Architectural Project Honor Award in the Urban category. The facility was praised for advancing student exploration in technology and engineering through innovative and adaptable design.

Patterson Family Foundation received an Interior Design Honor Award. The space was noted for its welcoming and collaborative design that reflects the foundation’s philanthropic mission and community values.

Harbert Collegiate Golf Center at the University of Central Missouri received an Interior Design Merit Award. The jury highlighted its balance of training, wellness, and team identity within a high-performance environment for student-athletes.

We also want to recognize Multistudio Intern Sarah Montes and Monet DeFreece for their achievement on the Mariposa Early Childhood Education Center project, which they completed at the University of Kansas. Their work demonstrates a strong commitment to design excellence, community impact, and the future of educational environments. Congratulations, Sarah and Monet!
